Pilots from across the country are expected to attend this event, with some of the best pilots in the sport competing in performance contests. Equipment manufacturers and flight schools will provide information booths for spectators, and pilot seminars will be given for the flyers.

A powered paraglider, also known as a paramotor, is an Ultralight aircraft that resembles a parachute with an engine. The paraglider itself is made of fabric with no rigid structure and the pilot is suspended by lines and clipped into a harness. The motor is a lightweight backpack with a propeller giving thrust to allow the pilot to gain altitude or fly level. Similar but larger aircraft called powered parachutes will also be featured.

AZPPG (Arizana Powered Paragliding) is a cactus-roots organization dedicated to promote a safe, responsible and fun flying environment that aims to enhance, educate, and retain the incredible and colorful form of personal flight, Powered Paragliding (PPG) for and in Arizona.
