There are many options to consider when selecting a paraglider that is suitable for motoring. Airparamo can offer almost every brand of paraglider that is made today, and we have chosen to work with what we believe to be the finest wings available, both in terms of performance and price. Many of the paraglider manufacturers are now making a specific wing for powered paragliding. They have features such as shorter risers, trimmers, brake length adjustments (so you can fly them with or without power) and superior launch and landing characteristics. Airparamo recommends new pilots always buy their first glider from their instructor. A qualified instructor will assist them with the decision of which type, level, and size of wing is appropriate for you. Please beware of buying a used glider from an ad or eBay. The criteria Airparamo uses to select great motoring paragliders is based on 5 areas for a beginner to intermediate paraglider. These are ranked in order of important characteristics to consider:
Our most popular brand, the Muse II and Eden III are extremely well known and popular as among the very best motoring paragliders. All MacPara wings inflate superbly, predictably and quickly in little to no wind, making them a perfect match for motoring. Also, their superb performance makes them excellent soaring paragliders with both trim tabs and speed bar. Best of all, these paragliders are extremely well priced compared to other comparable certified paragliders. MacPara paragliders are constructed using the latest, state-of-the-art materials and are certified under the stringent German DHV certification. Visit the MacPara Technology Website for more information.
The Muse II is an beginner level glider, with updated improvements from it's predecesor, the hugely popular Muse I. Precise and dynamic with maximum performance, perfect for motoring or free-flight, long flights, thermals and cross country flights. The Muse II has everything that you need to discover a fantastic dimension of flying. It was designed to be a super-safe glider with finely tuned handling for pilots who need DHV 1 safety and who want to enjoy relaxed flying. The Muse II is the ideal glider for beginners to the sport and maybe also those more experienced pilots looking for the easy life.
The completely redesigned Eden 3 is ideal for sport-performance pilots who are looking for a well-balanced wing with DHV 1-2 security. Crisp light break pressure, easy inflation, and excellent performance make this a popular choice for motor pilots wanting a sporty, fast wing. Also a great wing for pilots who wish to cross over from motoring to freeflight.
The Spice is a little hot rod, and oh so fun to zoom around in. This tiny wing has unbelievable performance, speed and handling characteristics. You are certain to get bugs in your teeth from flying this wing, not only for how fast it is, but by the huge grin you will have fly it. BE forewarned, this is a performance rated wing and is recommended for experienced pilots only.
Pasha III is a giant wing that is fun for two with a "solo" feeling. Has excellent inflation characteristics, even in no wind. Some features include:
Ozone gliders are known for their superb handling characteristics, quick inflations, and excellent construction. The Mojo Power, Rush Power, and Roadster have proven to be excellent motor gliders. Visit the Ozone Website for more information.
The Mojo has proven itself as a solid, stable, and easy glider for beginning paramotor pilots. With ultimate ease of launch, simple ground-handling characteristics, and uncompromising passive safety in flight, the Mojo Power, with DULV certification, is the perfect choice for the first phase of your paramotor career.
The Mojo Power has long brake travel, but the handling is direct enough for more experienced pilots to appreciate, while still remaining forgiving enough for new beginners. The progressive nature of the Mojo Power's handling makes for great turning behavior with or without weight-shift, which is an ideal characteristic in a motor wing. High stability in pitch and roll creates an overall feeling of comfort and safety in flight, however the glider does provide the pilot with feedback, in amounts comfortable and subtle enough for new pilots. The excellent sink rate and handling of the Mojo Power mean that beginning pilots will not outgrow this wing too soon, and will benefit from its balance of safety and performance for hundreds of flights. The Mojo Power comes standard with Ozone Paramotor Risers which feature double hang points, reinforced trimming system, and trimmer lock-off for free flight.
The Rush Power was created for the performance pilot who needs DHV 1-2 security in their DULV certified wing. With a higher aspect ratio and more cells than the Mojo Power, the Rush Power is closer to a DHV2 in performance while remaining well within the boundaries of the DHV 1-2 class. It features sportier, more dynamic handling, along with a higher speed range. The Rush Power is a well proven and ideal intermediate paramotor wing that also flies just as well unpowered. We think that pilots searching for an intermediate wing that is equally capable of powered and unpowered flight need look no further.
The Rush Power's launch characteristics are benign for a wing with such performance and dynamic character, and pilots will find that the inflation is simple to control in all conditions. In light wind or no wind, the Rush Power comes up easily overhead, with no tendencies to hang back or slip to one side. In flight, the handling is direct and well coordinated, ideal for maneuvering close to the ground or for thermalling with the engine off. The Rush Power is constructed with Porcher Marine Skytex Evolution cloth, and comes standard with Ozone Paramotor Risers which feature double hang points, reinforced trimming system, and trimmer lock-off for free flight.
The Roadster was created for a wide range of intermediate paramotor pilots, ranging from XC distance fliers to ground skimmers and adventure pilots in a paramotor specific glider. The Roadster offers a reinsuring amount of stability and a good cruising speed with crisp handling. The Roadster’s OZRP Technology (Ozone Reflex Profile) means that it is more stable in accelerated flight than a normal free-flight wing.
Special attention was put into the launching characteristics of the Roadster. The inflation is smooth and constant in any wind speed, and the wing comes up directly overhead without shooting in high winds or lagging behind in no wind, all of which means that your time will be spent enjoying your flight, not struggling with your launch. The Roadster can also be flown without a motor. Its sink rate is low enough to soar in light lift, thermal in all conditions, and fly cross country. Although it is designed for pilots who fly majority (if not exclusively) under power, the Roadster performs excellently unpowered as well. We hope that Intermediate and Advanced pilots will appreciate the easy launches, stable flights, and the high top speeds of this wing, which is designed to allow you to enjoy the flight without worrying about your wing.

There are companies that advertise and sell paragliders for beginners that are not independently tested and certified. It costs significantly less to manufacture a paraglider that has not been independently tested and certified. Your life is hanging on those lines. Saving money on the gear that holds your life is not worth the savings. Most instructors refuse to offer training to beginners on uncertified paragliders. Additionally, many flying sites refuse to let pilots fly with uncertified paragliders. Lastly, if you are considering resale value, uncertified paragliders may be difficult to sell since they hold little of their retail value. See this Safety Notice page for more information. |
