Eric Dufour, Richard Good, Jerry and Michelle Daniele Training
The first few days we spent up at Lake Pleasant in an open field a few miles from the UL aviation park. Some wonderfly flying, but one of my props developed a serious crack and Eric was generous enough to lend me RDM SD PPG. One of the highlights of my flying is I approached a hot air balloon and landed near them. They seemed as excited about me as I was with them. They seemed willing to continue this in the future and I took down their names and contact information. Another highlight was seeing for the first time a powered handglider takeoff, fly and land. Apparently, he is the only one in AZ doing this.

Then on Sunday We moved camp to McCartney. Really nice flying there with a bunch of training. There were several highlights including seeing all the wonderful training, seeing Gary fly his beatiful ultalight, and watch Eric do some extraordinary flying, including landing on an old telephone post.

Below is a summary of pictures I took of the training during the week.

Well, several of us finished up a weekend + a few more days flying at McCartney with Jerry and Michele, Eric and Richard, plus a pretty good group of other flyers. We watched Jon solo on Monday, a great thing to see. He accelerated quickly through the class, only took a couple days to go through the whole program. Eric Dufour (of Paratour) helped with training, provided tandem rides, gave several technical seminars and demonstrated various advanced flying techniques. Very informative and entertaining. Got to meet Eric's wife, daughter and their mascot Tiny (killer dog!). What an experience!
