Summary
by Maurice Sheldon

David and I arrived about 5:45. Winds were 5-8 from the SE. Great conditions.

This is a very forgiving site, but today the winds aloft were quite bumpy. This was the bumpiest ride I've had yet, but it felt good pushing my limits a bit. And besides, I felt safe with the conditions: no clouds, steady ground winds, ample places to land, dawn.

Both of us experiences some mishaps. I had the tangled-line syndrome and the forgot-to-attach-throttle-to-hand syndrom. David suffered from the hard-landing and turtle syndroms. I did notice Dave has significantly improved the long-takeoff syndrome: he was off the ground on both takeoff's in about 10 steps.

Overall we had fun. I'm glad I drove down to fly.

CORRECTION:
Not HARD landings -- SPECTACULAR landings. Such things as persuading the glider to pull me over into a turtle after a SOFT landing, and prompting the glider to pull me over onto my belly and drag me for two feet after a SOFT landing. This was strictly for entertainment purposes! CAUTION: PERFORMED BY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL -- DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
